About Us

DoubleJump was founded with a simple goal:

to provide high-quality, personalized tutoring that helps students get a jump start on their learning.

Learning That Fits Each Student

In a busy classroom, students may not always receive the individual attention they need to ask questions, build confidence, and fully understand new concepts. Many students benefit from focused one-on-one support outside the classroom, whether they’re catching up, strengthening important skills, or ready to work ahead. At DoubleJump, every session is shaped around the individual learner and designed to help them take their next step with confidence.

Experience You Can Trust

Our company is built by educators with years of firsthand experience working in real classrooms and schools. We understand what students need to feel supported, confident, and ready to learn.

Your Family’s Safety Matters

Your family’s safety is one of our highest priorities. We carefully screen and background-check our tutors to help create a safe, welcoming, and professional learning environment. We follow these strict standards whether sessions take place in person or online.

Our Team

Lori Rotherham

Executive Director

Lori is an educator with over 30 years of experience. She has served as a teacher, dean of students, district arts coordinator, associate principal, and principal. Her areas of expertise include secondary education, arts education, special education, and disability accommodations.

She believes that every student has a unique set of gifts and challenges. She co-founded DoubleJump tutoring with her 2 amazing adult children with the goal of helping all students discover their strengths and achieve their unique potential. She believes that supporting students should include a “gradual release of responsibility” as students develop their learning skills and become more independent learners.

She looks forward to partnering with you and your child!
